Mission Arts Temporarily Closed due to COVID19

The Mission Arts Management Committee met on Monday evening, 16th March 2020, to discuss COVID19 and what impact it has for Mission Arts.

As a Management Committee we want you to know that, as a valued member, your health and well-being is our top priority.
Our concern takes into account that many of our community and visitors are in a high risk category such as their age, underlying illness/chronic illness and travel to overseas countries/or on cruises.
As concerns about the spread of COVID19 increase in light of the advice from the Australian Government, we're reaching out to our community to let you know that we have put in place precautionary measures to preserve your health and safety.
We all need to work together and ensure that self distancing and self isolation can work effectively to slow down the spread of the virus.
For this reason, we have made the decision to temporarily close Mission Arts to the public and cancel its activities.  We will continue to monitor the situation but at this time it will be closed until the end of March.  We will review the situation prior to the end of the month. All Activities have been cancelled with immediate effect. This includes umbrella groups' meetings, workshops and exhibitions.
The Shop is closed. This quiet time provides an opportunity for some repairs and maintenance at the Centre. It also allows for the Management Committee to work on planning what needs to be done if the COVID19 situation continues beyond the end of March.
We are monitoring the COVID19 situation daily, with the health and safety of our staff, members, volunteers and visitors being a high priority. Further updates will be provided when available.
