Join us in a collaborative and creative setting to develop and further refine your oil painting skills. New members & beginners welcome!

This 'drop in' art group is an opportunity for artists of all levels to develop their skills in a supportive environment. It is a place to work outside studios and among like-minded artists who wish to practice, learn and share ideas. Whilst the group is focused on oil painting, artists from other mediums such as watercolour and acrylic are welcome.

The OILED group is committed to creating an environment for artists to progress through practice, try new ways of painting and achieve greater confidence. It is not teacher directed but instead is a space where artists can experiment with alternative methods, less conventional approaches and diverse techniques.

OILED offers a wonderful opportunity for new and experienced artists to join a painting group working in a collaborative art setting. During the coffee break an artist may present a five-minute talk on an art topic of their choice (i.e. an artist, historical or contemporary painting, painting technique, etc.).

Cost per class is $10 Mission Arts Members, $15 non-members. Hours: 10 am – 12.30pm.

BYO materials but easels are available for use. You will be expected to ensure that your workspace is clean on departure. We encourage you to express your interest by ringing Mission Arts on 4088 6116 or via email to info(at)missionarts.com.au.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Please note that a COVID Safe Plan is in place and physical distancing guidelines will be observed. Attendee numbers are limited due to current Public Health Directions.
